EAD and H1B

I am now H1B holder, my I-140 was approved 1 month ago. The application documents of I-485, AP and EAD, et al have been submitted to INS this month.

My H1B will expire next July. Should I renew H1B while I have EAD? (I am supposed to get EAD approved 3 months later) Should I just use EAD after H1B expires? Any suggestions or comments from you will be greatly appreciated.
