Help! apply EAD under 485 or EAD under OPT

Help! My status is F1 with CPT. I am going to graduate this fall semester (I-20 will be expired by Dec. 31,07). I have filed 485 at beginning of July (Dependent), but didn’t file 765. So I have to wait until I get the receipt of 485 then file 765. Since a heavy volume of July filers. We don't when will we get the receipt, and how long will take to approve 765.
My questions are
1.Can I still apply OPT right now although I filed 485? Or I have to wait the receipt of 485 then file 765?
2.After I graduate from the university, what is my status? Switch from F1 back to H4 if I hold 765 under 485?
