EAD Renewal and Fingerprint - Xiaobaitu Help!!!

Is fingerprint now required for EAD renewal, now that local office no longer issues interim EAD? What is the due process to get fingerprint done? Wait for the USCIS center to issue you a notice after they process your case or simply go to the local office to request one? Please advice.
