EAD application center

To WoJian & JiaBoshi....

Happy new year to eaver one.
i need your suggestion about my EAD applcation. my I485 was filed on 01/06/04 in Vermont center. i want to apply my EAD card right now and i am holding H1-B stutes which is expire 04/30/04. i am confused which pleace i should send my application since there are two processing center. one is send to my I-485 Vermont center which is slow processing, another one is New York center which is fast. i am in New York city. i hope it can be approved before my H1-B expire because my lawer wants me to extend my H1-B at her office for another $1000.00.
