EAD approval without fingerprint

I filed my 485/EAD/AP on May 1, 2006.
I got an approval notice of my EAD case yesterday. However my finger-print is schedule tomorrow. Somebody told me that EAD required finger-print.
Is there somebody else has similar experience?
