Ask for help in renewing EAD

I submitted materials to Vermont center to renew my EAD on May 11 by first class mail. So far neither I have received the receipt nor has the check been cashed. I concerned that the package was lost somewhere. Since my EAD will expire July 5, time is very limited. Can I send another application in case that the first package was lost? Will there be any problem in case that both applications have reached Vermont Center?
