AP, EAD & H-1B extension

If I file AP & EAD with my I-485 now, can I still extend my H-1B later when my first third year expires? I will not use either AP or EAD before I extend my H-1B. Filing AP & EAD will not affect my H-1B status. Is it correct? Thanks.
