From H1b to EAD: Need help from Xiaobaitu, mytwocents and other

Please help!

My NIW 140 was approved and 485 is pending. Now I want to quit my current H1b (academic) and use EAD to work for a new employer (industry). My questions are:

1) do I need to inform INS this job change? My understanding is that I don't have to because NIW doesn't need a sponsor.

2) I know the new job should be in a similar field. Does switching job from academic to industry matters?

3) When should I inform INS my address change?
