You'd better seriously think about your F1 status. Better consulte with a lawyer and international office of your school. Basically, your current status is gray since INS has never clarified whether or not filing I-485 compromises F1 status. But once you use I-485 based AP, your F1 status will no long exist, which means you may not be able to continue and finish your current study with AOS status.
