h4 extension and EAD

Lg's company just filed extension for his H1 and my H4. but today, I got a job offer which necessitates the using of EAD card, what should I do? do I need withdraw my extension? does it affect my Lg's H1 status? we want to keep his H1 status alive. Thanks for any suggestions
