For Pre-med, Duke has a strong edge over Brown

Both Brown (#17) and Duke (#2) are good  pre-med choices, but Duke has a substantial edge over Brown.

In terms of pre-med and the potential for graduates to attend top medical schools, Duke is at H/Y/S/P/JHU level. 

Adjusted for student population, Brown (#18, adjusted) is even behind MIT (#12, adjusted), whcih is often not viewed as a pre-med feeder.
