From what you said, I think it is better for you, even for your kid, to divorce. (Sorry to say this.) If your hu*****and realizes his mistake, you can always take him back later. However, while you do not agree for a divorce, he will think you are weak and will not take you serious. (I even think you should file for divorce first, if your hu*****and has not filed yet.)

For your situation, I would think you should be able to get full physical custody. Of course, the father should be able to visit and spend time with the kid regularly. There are quite a few posts on this topic, including how to calculate child support. I think you should consult a lawyer, though, as your hu*****and does not seem to be a reasonable person. Not saying you need the lawyer to go through the whole process, but at least, understand your and your child's right. Also, with a baby and full time job, you do not have much time research on this. A lawyer can help you a lot.
