wow, If US bank won't do back-to-back L/C, does that mean

I have to buy goods from my supplier out of my own pocket? Is there anyway to avoid this? What about a transferable L/C? i.e. buyer issued me a transferable L/C, I subsequently use this transferable L/C to buy goods from my supplier?

Guess one other thing I need to clear: I want to be in a distributor model, and I'd like cut down on the need of my own capital. back-to-back L/C idea is what motived me to get in this import/export biz.
