Between March 1–15, 2026, about 90 ships total passed through the Strait of Hormuz, including ~16 oil tankers。Only selected tankers (often linked to Iran or approved partners like China/India) are getting through。
At least ~17–18 vessels have been attacked in the Gulf / Strait of Hormuz, including ships flying flags from these countries have been hit:
- United States – e.g. a U.S.-flagged tanker struck in Bahrain
- United Kingdom (Gibraltar flag)
- Marshall Islands
- Panama
- Malta
- Bahamas
- Palau
- Japan
- Thailand (e.g. Mayuree Naree hit, crew missing)
- Kuwait (LPG tanker damaged later in March)
