Israel would not use a nuclear weapon in war with Iran, Trump says
President Donald Trump told reporters Monday that he does not think Israel would use a nuclear weapon in the war with Iran.
“Israel wouldn’t do that. Israel would never do that,” the president said at the White House.
David Sacks, the White House artificial intelligence and crypto czar, floated in an interview recently that “you have to worry about Israel escalating the war by contemplating using a nuclear weapon.”
Trump’s remarks come after he said yesterday that the US and Israel are largely aligned in their military goals, though he acknowledged their objectives may not be identical.
“The relationship has been very good. The militaries are very well coordinated,” Trump told reporters Sunday aboard Air Force One.
