Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), a senior member of the Senate Banking Committee, says he will continueholding up President Trump’s nominees to the Federal Reserve until the criminal investigation of Fed Chair Jerome Powell is resolved.

This poses a significant obstacle to Trump’s plan to appoint Kevin Warsh as the next chair of the nation’s central bank to succeed Powell when his term is expires in May.
