According to the latest official population statistics from Taiwan’s Ministry of the Interior and multiple news reports, the total number of newborns (live births) in Taiwan in 2025 was approximately 107,812. That figure represents a substantial decline of about 20 % compared to 2024 and is the lowest annual birth total on record in Taiwan’s modern demographic data
