you do not know anything about the US top private colleges.

Just giving you an example for Harvard University, if a student's family anual income is less than 90K, that student's family nor the student has to pay a cent for the education in Harvard. If a student's family income is between 90K to 180 K, then the family has to pay 10% of their income. If a student's family income is more than 180, the student has to pay all tuition fee.

All other private schools are more or less like Harvard University. They all have same policy which is family's income is not a consideration for their acceptance. The quality of a student is what they are looking for.

If you are a good student, that should not prevent you from going anywhere in US no matter where you are from or how poor your family might be.
