Indo-Pacific remains important but second-tier

recognizes the Indo-Pacific as “a defining battleground of the 21st century". The document reframes our global posture under “flexible realism,” where the highest priority is dominance in the Western Hemisphere.  For the Indo-Pacific, the strategy calls on allies (Japan, South Korea, India, etc.) to “stand up”  meaning increased defense spending and taking a greater role in regional security
