If it is true that drug users' records will be sealed to the public, I am afraid that it will start a slippery slope towards decriminalization or leniency towards drug use. We want them to reintegrate into the society, but not by sealing their public record of past drug use.
That’s what was happening in USA. It started with some states decriminalized marijuana first, then Obama pushed for full legalization of not only marijuana but other hard drugs, citing some eyebrows-raising German and Denmark study saying legalizing drug use and providing them with safe drug consumption rooms and supplies can reduce drug use. And little by little, now see what’s going on in US and Germany. It’s like a zombie land in a lot of places and homeless every where, crime increased dramatically… It’s all thanks to Obama’s drug legalization push. I suspect Obama needs more political money and money are those drug cartels have. Those drug cartels, via political donation, pushed for rapid demise of both Obama-led dem party and America. Those drug cartels will say anything to make you believe that by cuddling drug users, a.k.a their customers, you are reducing drug use. That’s the logic drug cartels wants those stupid and money-hunger politicians to believe. What government really needs is to recriminalize drug use, a strong punishment and enforcement system for deterrence, and mandatory rehabilitation for anyone who is using. And it cannot be achieved by expunging drug users' criminal records and providing ways and means for them to continue their drug use.
CCP should not open that flood gate. Or else it will be a slippery slope from there I have to warn.
