Ukrainian forces launched a major counteroffensive near Dobropillia, systematically eliminating isolated Russian units and liberating villages including Kucheriv Yar and Zatyshok.
The operation succeeded partly because Ukrainian commanders moved slowly enough that Russian officers kept sending false reports upward, claiming positions remained stable.
