Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) told NBC News the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing “does come from a conservative family.”

He added: “But his ideology was very different than his family… we can confirm that that roommate is a boyfriend who is transitioning from male to female.” Cox told The Atlantic he had no doubt the alleged shooter’s worldview had been warped in some very dark corners of the internet.
