泰晤士报:911嫌疑人的关键证据在伦敦审问阶段,审问人员不知道。最后按美国联邦调查局的意见释放没有引渡。
Lawyers for the 9/11 families issued a deposition to put the allegations to Bayoumi, and interviewed him on June 9 and 10, 2021, via Zoom from Saudi Arabia. The recordings have been seen by The Sunday Times.
Now in his sixties, Bayoumi tells them he worked for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 38 years and spoke about his time “studying” in San Diego.
He is then quizzed about the aircraft diagram for the first and only time. He admits it is in his handwriting.
When asked what it depicts, he says: “So I’m somebody who likes to read. I’m somebody who likes to be exposed to things. Perhaps this was an equation that we studied before in high school and I was trying to remember whether I’m going to be able to figure out and solve it or not.”
He is asked: what was the reason you were calculating the height of the aircraft from Earth in miles?
Bayoumi replies: “It’s an equation like any other equation. Like, say, when they say what is the distance of the road between San Diego to LA or Washington to other places. It’s just an equation to measure distance. To Baltimore.”
Despite his denials, lawyers for the 9/11 families believe it is a crucial piece of evidence.
