  • Russia: Emphasizes a portfolio approach, developing various designs for diverse applications. This includes the RITM series (PWRs based on icebreaker technology), Shelf-M reactors for off-grid installations, and the SVBR-100 (Lead-Bismuth Fast Reactor). Their operational Akademik Lomonosov floating power plant utilizes two 35 MW KLT-40S reactors.
  • China: Focuses on pressurized water reactors (PWRs) like the ACP100 Linglong One and high-temperature gas-cooled reactors (HTGRs) like the HTR-PM. The HTR-PM, which went online in 2023, is a 150 MW HTGR.
