以色列本来有爱国者,最近换成了自己更先进的系统。
Israel previously operated the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system, known locally as "Yahalom". It was used for high to medium air defense and could intercept aircraft and ballistic missiles. The system was initially provided to Israel by the United States during the first Gulf War in 1991.
However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officially decommissioned the Patriot system in April 2024. This decision was based on several factors, including the system's age and perceived shortcomings, particularly in intercepting certain targets. The IDF reported that the Patriot system became "obsolete" and difficult to maintain. Furthermore, it had experienced issues with friendly fire incidents during combat operations.
Israel has replaced the Patriot system with more advanced domestically-developed air defense systems, including:
- Iron Dome: A short-range system designed to intercept rockets, artillery shells, and precision-guided munitions.
- David's Sling: A medium- to long-range system capable of intercepting a wide range of threats, including advanced tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.
- Arrow Missile: A long-range system designed to intercept ballistic missiles in the stratosphere.
