My guess is this feud has more to do with the rumors that Musk seduced Stephen Miller’s wife who recently left her job at the White House to work for Musk. (Which might also explain Elon’s black eye.) This would have to seriously bring into question Musk’s integrity, loyalty, and respect, or lack thereof. This kind of promiscuity, coupled with the rumors of his ever growing drug use and lack of tact, we’re making Musk into a much bigger liability than an asset. While Trump tried to disengage from Musk, he chose to take the high road, still publicly praising Musk’s efforts, Musk did not. Which was stupid on Musk’s part. Not only does it show immaturity and a complete lack of class, it also tells me Musk is trying to discredit Trump because he is afraid Trump is going to tell everyone something bad about Elon that he recently discovered. It is similar to the behavior that Elon displayed when asked about rumors of his drug use. He never addressed the issue, but instead vehemently attacked the organization that reported on the rumor. And, you could tell, he was prepared for the question.
