但依照1994年美國與加拿大簽訂的北美自由貿易協定（North America Free Trade Agreement），加拿大公民可不受上述例子中，而於進出美國時可享有以下的禮遇：

  1. 加拿大公民若入境美國從事觀光行為時，不需申請B-2簽證，也就是說，無需任何美國簽證，即可入境美國。再者，每年並無入境次數的限制，但每一次入境美國居留時間則不得超過6個月。
     
  2. 加拿大公民若入境美國從事下列七種商業行為中之任一商業行為時，不需申請B-1簽證，也就是說，無需任何美國簽證，即可入境美國。再者，每年並無入境次數的限制，但每一次入境美國居留時間則不得超過6個月。
    1. 研究及設計（Research & Design）；
    2. 生產及製造（Growth, Manufacture & Production）；
    3. 行銷（Marketing）；
    4. 販售（Sales）；
    5. 配送（Distribution）；
    6. 售後服務（After-Sales Service）；或
    7. 一般服務（General Service）。
       
  3. 具大學畢業學歷的加拿大公民若在美國從事下列的職業時，不須向美國移民局申請H-1B的工作身份，亦不受H-1B工作身份年度配額及工作總年限限制，而可直接於入境時在邊境的美國移民局取得TN簽證。一般而言，此TN簽證，每次核准期限可長達3年。再者，申請TN簽證的總次數在法律上並沒有限制。所以，申請人若在美國有正當工作，即可無限期的在美工作與居留。
