It's a tragedy. This is borderline child abuse. Parents make a 4-year old to recite all ancient poems without her understanding the real meaning of it. Because the text is way beyond what a 4-year old can understand. This is borderline child abuse. Rather than memorizing the words, it's more important to understand the meaning of it. Or else, it’s just words without meanings. Yes, you can memorize, but the more important thing is to understand it, digest it and create new things from it. Creativity and innovation are what parents should help to cultivate, not to memorize words without meanings.
