That will no doubt make Washington, which has a complicated decades-old partnership with Riyadh, "uneasy"

Anything that facilitates peace in the world or in a region will no doubt make US uneasy. That is totally against US' interests, not to mention this deal is mediated by China.

The Saudis are unsure of what they can get from the US, so they are hedging their bets with China. Same goes for Central and South America. China is moving in close where the US should be.

This is the best, "Made in China", I even see. It's great for poor ordinary people in Yeman, who have not received much attention at all. Secondarily it's good for middle east area a whole. Please no wars! Let's live peacefully since we have so many other things to do.

US is publicly praising this, while behind the scenes it laments a serious blow to its decades-old strategy of exploiting or creating regional differences between countries, or people in order to stoke conflict. Clearly we need a re-think, because it seems most of the world is tired of it. We need to rid ourselves of ultra-agressive neo-hawks such as Nuland and get some smarter people in as advisors, who can navigate the new realities of the world, without constantly turning America's role into a bull in a china shop situation.

China is gaining ground by being the "Adult" at the table. Meanwhile the US is loosing ground by supporting war and arming other nations for war. Wonder who wins in the long run? We #1. We #1. We #1. Murica. Sad times. Jmt

I think that this is good. Now, what we need is for China to get Iran and Israel to the peace table, and try to resolve their differences. It doesn't hurt to try, and who knows!
