Everything is in relative terms, and there is no absolute fairness/justice,even in a democratic society. The great thing about a democracy is that the system is capable of self-correcting. I respect a government that is courageous enough to admit they screwed up, and they wronged you in the past (like the Japanese Americans who were unfairly treated
in WWII).
Obama (a black person whose father is a African immigrant) wining the presidential election, this can only happen in this country.
Regarding gun control, Clint Eastwood's new movie "Gran Torrino" is a good explanation for the Republican opinion on this matter. Any control only restricts gun access by good people (law-biding citizens), the bad guys will always get guns, control or not. Having said that, I do agree a lot more need to be done to prevent the tragedies we've been seeing.
