President shares tweet asking ‘why bother voting Republican?’ as he rages at election
Trump is continuing to stew over his election defeat on social media, sharing a tweet that asks “why bother voting for Republicans?” in criticism against two senior officials in the party.
The retweet comes amid Mr Trump’s war of words against the Republican governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, following earlier attacks on his Georgia counterpart Brian Kemp over their failure to overturn results in his favour in their states despite his own legal team failing to produce any evidence to justify his claims of mass voter fraud.
The president’s daughter and adviser Ivanka Trump has meanwhile been made the subject of a “Not Wanted” poster campaign in her native New York City, advising her not to return to Manhattan from DC.
Dr Scott Atlas, Mr Trump’s controversial coronavirus adviser, has also announced his resignation, in what his colleagues at Stanford University said was a “victory for science and truth over falsehoods and misinformation”.
