我们受益的1965年移民法律，就是民权运动的直接后果

1965年移民改革以前，美国的移民名额是根据当年种族比例分配的，美国当时白人占到90%，华裔1%都不到，要是按照旧移民法你我都不能成为美国人。

约翰逊总统在民权运动的推动下，签署了1965年移民法，形成了家庭移民，工作移民和绿卡抽签的新移民政策，这才有了你我在美国实现美国梦。

很多大陆第一代移民不知道华裔美国人的历史，信誓旦旦的硕自己没有受到歧视，请问你也不想想为什么你没有感觉到歧视？

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, also known as the Hart–Celler Act, is a federal law passed by the 89th United States Congress and signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson. The law abolished the National Origins Formula, which had been the basis of U.S. immigration policy since the 1920s. The act removed de factodiscrimination against Southern and Eastern Europeans, Asians, and other non-Northwestern European ethnic groups from American immigration policy.
