One conviction came to my mind: 民主靠民常敲打主, 百姓敲打问责国家政府主官,民主必由之路 - Yes, it's burning the tax money - mine and yours, but it's the cost to get democracy to be transparant against any blackbox operations, a way to against human nature of sin for self-serving. It's a public education process that should be done often. the public polling shows that the public is willing to pay for it.
