I think that is what pushed Trump administration lashes out all the forces. They are squeezing out all the room to try to get it done before getting too close to the election. Personally I think if China can withhold the pressure until early next year, US will back off, but Q3 and Q4 will be very tough. If China experiences too much shaking up, Xi could be in trouble. I do not think he has absolute power for any circumanstances.
