This is pretty funny. They showed up a day early, demanded a room that was not available, threatened the staff, were politely removed by well trained and well intentioned police officers, and then proceeded to roll around on the floor screaming, unmolested. I hope the rest of their holiday was ok though

 

Well well well. I read somewhere that the Chinese government is accusing Sweden of human right violation based on this footage. I think the Chinese government should look in the mirror before pointing accusing finger at other countries. The last time I checked, the human right record in China was nothing to write home about, so to accuse a liberal nation like Sweden of human right violation is highly hypocritical on the part of the Chinese. In China, foreigners are denied hotel accommodation based on their country of origin, and this is well documented.

show up at a hotel with no reservation and want to stay the night in the lobby. Chinese hotels have had to remove sofas in their lobby due to just this. These primitive people come in take over the spaces and sleep on them. Open their bags and spread their stuff around. Demanding free care and unending attention. They should be scooped up in a front end loader and dumped at the airport. China needs to apologize to Sweden for allowing their trash out of the country.

When you visit a foreign country, you are an informal ambassador for your nation's people. If you act ridiculously and make false accusations, you make your entire country look bad. I feel bad for all the other polite Chinese who are going to be lumped with all the 'bad Chinese tourists' that the world has come to dislike. The Chinese Embassy's reaction has made all this 100 times worse! It just reinforces the idea that the nation is full of unreasonable people! Its not fair on all the people who try their best to behave and follow the local rules when they visit a new country.?

Funny. My most recent interaction with Chinese tourists was 2 weeks ago in a highway stop between Basel and Zurich. I'm standing in line with 1 Chinese person in front of me. Two of his travel compatriots come to the line and stand next to the guy in front of me. Moments later, 3 more of them show up. Do they go to the back of the line? Nope, they just join their fellow Chinese in the middle of the line. Thats when I told them to get to back of the line,. They actually did do it, but just the thought of this big group thinking "its OK for all of us to cut through the line because someone I know is in the middle of it" is ridiculous

Those cops are awesome! Carefully removing people who didn't live there and refuse to leave. It is HUGELY embarrassing for China that this is becoming political.?
