About  25% of the voters support Trump. The real problem is Trump can't deliever with his tendency of igniting infighting all the time. Let's how much patience the Trump supporters have. 

I have been a life-long independent. But for 2020,  I don't mind joining either Democrats or Republicians if it makes sense.
