那个 Matthew Syed 是挺 reasonable 的。他的追求也是 meritocracy, 只不过是 meritocracy on the group, 而不仅是 meritocracy on the individual. 

他的核心论点，我勉强能够认同的，是在某些情况下， diversity of viewpoint 是有益的。而 diversity of sex/skin color/class, 和 diversity of viewpoint 有一定的 correlation.
