今天《世界报》上有一篇采访当年美军老兵的报道，副题里说“ils ont tous en commun d'avoir enterré leur enfance sur une plage de Normandie en 1944”
正如视频里 Hanks 同学说的，“a bunch of kids” doing "the right thing”。
从油管上视频下面众多评论也能感觉到，这群 kids 的后人没有忘记他们的前辈为什么在大洋彼岸付出了如此巨大的牺牲，还有美国人民为“the greatest generation”的自豪和对他们的崇敬。
这样的美国精神和任何“I'm going to solve all these problems, becoz I know what works and what does not work”的“one guy”类或者“one guy”体制类都是不可能相容的 :-)
同一篇报道里也说到了过去的“不确定”性：“En des temps politiques incertains, la communauté internationale savait donc montrer qu'elle se serrait les coudes, qu'elle haïssait la dictature, qu'elle ne transigeait pas avec l'exigence de la démocratie” (这里古狗翻译稍浅火候，“savait montrer”是“was able to show”的意思 :-)）。相信面对现实中的“不确定”，美国和自由世界都 will be able to show that they turn towards what is right :-)
