The sun's melting my gelato
and sweetening your fingers
where my eyes linger
and absorb your nails' indigo

The moon's rinsing your photo
till my dreams turn black and white
where I escape from light
and bond with your shadow

 

Luthos Mor - There's something about this poem that envelopes me - it's delightful and playful in the first stanza and then there's something almost surreal and sensual in the second.

It cascades like music - not just the cadence but the tone, the notes. There's part of the literal to form a picture and part of the mysterious to imagine.
