这样的开头才能抓住读者读下去。再比如她说她的第一个父亲怎样改变了他对写作谋生的成见：

What finally tipped the balance in my favor was something I’d never expected to happen: I became rich.
“Rich” is a useless word, since everyone has her own definition. Mine is this: I had so much money that I no longer knew exactly, down to the last dollar, how much I had.

....and he thought I was the Second Coming of Christ.

这些从日常生活中自己写的段子，没几个人可以把这样的日常写的这么生动。一样的经历，绝大多数人就是个碎嘴唠叨几句（“朴实”）的水平，绝对不是这样。

我为啥有这个感触？因为我读书很挑剔，读几章，不少书会弃读，尤其小说。她的总可以吸引我读下去。比如美国还有个跟她齐名的女作者，写Sleepless in Seattle 的作者，她的书给我印象是这就一碎嘴大妈唠叨，弃之不及
