Honestly I don't believe in the Pepsi commercial pain killer story. He suffered from something much bigger. The media is just so incredibly stupid, it makes me mad.

The pain he suffered from has to be chronicle and from an unknown source and therefore incurable. Pain from burn or other physical trauma is easy to treat. Millions of people got burnt, but how many got addicted to pain killers?

He suffers from auto-immune diseases, which are very nasty and hard to treat.
