Quincy Jones, he is producer during the Thrill years described him as being extremely shy. Quincy said they used to have to turn off lights during rehearsal b/c MJ was so extremely shy. Just imagine the very shy MJ at the tender age of 5 in the hands of his ever so bluntly demanding father, tragic combination!
