that means it stepped outside its boundary. It is true that 西方哲学 (the classic ones) sometimes stepped into the domain of science.

I guess what you means is that 西方哲学 has tradition of logical, analytical and appealing to reason. These attributes are essential elements of science as well. Theology has those essential elements as well. Also this is a major reason modern science was born in the west.
