November is the to avoid

Most Carribeans has just experienced hurrican season, some might still active. You don't want to gamble on your luck. Plus, you just finished your best fall season, not that bore yet. Wait until February, when you really tired of winter.

Resort is almost same cost as cruise. Compare apple to apple, high end resort (5-6 diamond) is comparable to deck room on cruise. Low end resort is comparable to lower level room in cruise.

The resort I went to is called Palladium Resort in Punta Cana, (5 diamond out of 6 diamond). It is very big one. Nice landscaping and activities. The meal is not for oriental. Not very expensive compare to Hawaii.

I believe we spent $5000 for our family, including air tickets, hotel, food, all the excusions of horseback riding, ATV, jet ski, amusement park, scuba diving, parachuting, plus a not very useful rental car.
