toaster and toaster oven

Hi:
I need to buy a toaster. But I am not clear what is the difference between a toaster oven and a toaster. Can I use toaster oven to toaster a bread, for example? Should I buy a toaster oven instead of a toaster, for more functionalities? Not much difference in the price
