Can ECC & non-ECC memory run together

My PC is DIY using Rdram, now i want to upgrade the memory from 256 to 768Mb, my current one is non-ECC. Can I use 512Mb ECC Rdram with it if I go to ebay to get one pair. May any guru answer me. Thank you first.
