if you are close to one, the smc f.a.r i got works great, two walls cross the floor, getting strong signal (all green bars). time to throw away the 11b, or you can search for your model online, there's got to be some spec somewhere. normally at the back of the routers where you plug in the power connector, there is the rating printed...
