i tried ur suggestion but all the tabs in properties were - general;computer name;hardware;advanced;automatic updates;remote

nothing about system restore...

i found systm restore under "help & support" in control panel, however when i click this option a window pops up & say that i have insufficient security privileges & that only an administrator can use this funtion...but my account type is an administrator...
