PCMICA USB2.0 card bus problem

I have a toshiba satellite laptop and try to use the PCMICA card bus
USB 2.0.
I have tried at least 4 different kind. Nothing working perfectly,
some not recognize any thing I attach to the USB2.0 cardbus ,
some recognize it , but at very low speed , even lower than USB1.1.
I tried the driver came with the cardbus.
I use window XP pro SP2 or window XP pro.

Anybody has similar experince or any idea how to solve the problem?
