TFT=Thin-Film Transistor
LCD=Liquid Crystal Display
XGA=eXtened Graphics Array

All active matrix screens are TFT now, and of course they're all LCD. XGA means 1024x768 pixel resolution. These are the bare minimums now. Don't buy any lower.
